Go green with DURUS digital camera

DURUS digital camera

As we progress more and more towards digitization, we will be leaving behind a lot of digital waste in the process. Therefore, it is of utmost importance that we try and bridge the gap between green and digital products. So, to bridge this gap, Emi Runnquist has come up with a sustainable digital camera, DURUS. The sustainable camera takes some of its looks from the cameras of previous eras but works like digital cameras of the present era. To meet the requirements of a green product, Emi has focused on reducing the consumption of energy by using recycled material.

The clear lines and visible screws make it easier for the digital camera to be recycled. It is easy to use the camera in most of the situations. Titanium has also been used in the design of the camera to make it more environmentally-friendly. The sides of the camera are made of plastic so you don’t have to worry about scratches.

Interestingly, Emi has described the whole life cycle of DURUS in her notes. According to her, DURUS will be produced in Asia and then shipped and distributed in the whole world. Once it reaches the end of its life i.e. five years on an average, the camera can either be recycled in Sweden or fragmented in Asia. A green digital camera is definitely a great alternative for all those who are gradually moving towards an environmentally-friendly life.
