Google’s Solar Thermal Technology aims 60% reduction in energy costs

Talking to Reuters at the Global Climate and Alternative Energy Summit in San Francisco, Google’s Bill Weihl reflected a serious purpose in utilizing solar thermal technology. The developing solar thermal technology will produce a kW-h of power for 5 cents or less. Besides, it hopes to make heliostats production cheaper than ever before. Hence, the focus is on cost-reduction wherein they have already invested $50 million so far.
