Mention cork and people will instantly link it with the stopper of a champagne bottle. But this lightweight and buyout material has proprieties which are worth exploiting. Bringing this resilient material to good use is Amorim, a Portuguese cork manufacturing company.

The company has joined hands with experimentadesign to make sure that natural products are fashioned, which don’t harm the environment. The collection christened Materia, has been conceived by Fernando Brizio, which consists of two products namely Furo and Senta.
You have guests at your place and the dining table only has six chairs. what happens if there are seven people who need to dine together? From where will an extra chair come which is foldable and doesn’t consume much space? Fret no more especially if you have ‘Senta’. It is a light weight stool that comes wedged with four legs. Now you must be thinking all stools come with four legs and this is nothing special. Well, the legs can be fixed on the seat only when required.
The seat has been crafted out of cork and is quite strong. The legs can be fitted to it whenever you want to sit. If you don’t want to assemble it, simply fit the legs in the openings present on the side. You can carry Senta anywhere, like picnics or even a trip. It doesn’t need a lot of storage space and hence, can be transported easily. Carry an eco-friendly stool everywhere, in the form of Senta.
If you like drawing and are fond of colored pencils then Furo will definitely impress you. Furo has been crafted out of cork and this bowl-shaped thing can be fitted with 4 or 36 pencils, which will act like legs. To pamper the artist in you, simply run it in any direction on a blank sheet. You will be amazed to see the colorful life it injects in the sheet that too sans any efforts.
Different drawing patterns can be created by using either the 4 or 36 pencil-legged Furo. When not in a mood to draw, take out all the pencils from the cork and use it as a decoration piece. Like Senta, even Furo ranks high on the environment friendly and storage graph.
