We are either ignorant or just reckless in not shutting down our computers as we leave our places of work after performing our official duties. What prevents us from not applying our intellectual capacity is simply beyond words to describe. Anyhow, Ford aims to instruct its employees through an energy-saving program that will automatically shutdown all of its computers, each night and weekend, being used anywhere in the world.

The global program is supposed to save 6,000-25,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide a year and $1.2m (£800,000) as well. The savings are substantial if we consider how a simple move coupled with a humble concern toward environment can contribute to the planet’s interests.
