Steampunk sculptors always manage to catch attention because of their unique looks. To add to this, they are also eco-friendly sculptors, which make us gaze in surprise. This sub-genre of science fiction and alternate history has been clubbed with great craftsmanship.

Materials like iron, wood, polished brass, and leather have been given a new lease of life that too the pseudo-Victorian way. Recycling helps in keeping our environment green and in turn make the world a better place to live in.
The Designer
These amazing steampunk sculptures have been created by Daniel Proulx. The designer has his own store named Catherinette Rings which is situated at Montreal, Quebec in Canada.

The Creation
Daniel has skillfully exploited taxidermy glass, copper bits, watch parts, and brass wires to create his unique pieces of art. All the sculptures are handmade, which makes them all the more special. Daniel has made good use of the wire-wrapping technique. He also makes use of a few more steps that are a well kept secret.
The aesthetic value
The sculptures come wrapped with an eco-friendly appeal. They have been crafted in an atmosphere that is smoke-free as well as pet-free. Each sculpture is made from salvaged and reused metals, which were thrown away. Daniel has also made ingenious use of metallic pieces that have been extracted from items like clocks and watches. He makes sure that only good quality salvaged stuff is exploited. This makes the end product all the more graceful and arty.
The feature that make these sculptures so special
The best part of these steampunk sculptures is their recycled nature. The work is so impressive that a few of these creations have been put on exhibition by the Museum of the History of Science. Not only the material but even the conditions are eco-friendly while crafting these pieces of art. It is quite possible the stuff used may also have some history attached, which gives them a whole new meaning.
