As it’s always better to preserve the food that goes down the drain on a regular basis, designer Dennis Cheng offers the eva2o concept to keep fruits and vegetables fresher, employing water evaporation to cool the contents. Having a counter-top unit, the double-walled earthenware-like body of the device has a rotating glass shutter.

The technology requires the user to pour water between the walls of the earthenware. The moisture, while escaping through the walls, gets natural heat from the unit and ultimately, cools off the eatables. Since it requires no external power supply, it’s also one of the best energy-saving contraptions of late.
