Bangalore based Eko Vehicles, in collaboration with US based Emerging Technologies Inc, announces the arrival of the world’s first hybrid motorcycle dubbed ET-120. A high power electric motor paired with a 70cc four-stroke petrol engine offers three-fold decrease in emissions when compared with other gas-powered bikes available (in India) in its category. Unlike other electric vehicles, you don’t need to plug it to the wall socket for charging since it charges automatically while running.

The hybrid vehicle offers 280 mpg (triple when compared to others) and it reaches a top speed of 40mph. Priced at 40,000 rupees ($854) only with a five-year warranty, Indians will surely be looking forward to its official launch in Q2 of 2010.
