With 2007 already given a red alert for intense hurricanes season, it is no surprise for scientists and shocking for Mexicans, to hear of another such devastating devil approaching them. What is important, is how much, the dwellers of the regions are prepared to face it!
Yes, be aware Mexicans! Tropical Storm Barbara has been spotted swirling erratically off Mexico on Wednesday. It may reach hurricane strength within just four days to come! Barbara becomes this year’s first Pacific cyclone to form close to the coast.
The U.S. National Hurricane Center in Miami warns not just that Barbara could convert into a hurricane within four days, but some models also reveals it a possibility to track close to the small Mexican oil port of Salina Cruz.
Barbara is presently packing sustained winds of near 45 mph (75 kph). Though it has first been forecasted that Barbara may barrel toward Acapulco — Mexico’s world-famous vacation resort, but, to the relief of the tourism industries, latest predictions shows the storm’s nearing land close to Puerto Escondido — a much smaller resort further to the south.
Whichever region the storm may hit, all coastal people across the world must stay alert and prepared against the damage. After all, 2007 has been declared as a hurricane intensive season.
