The Arts Council of Williamson County in collaboration with Steinway Piano Gallery of Nashville have announced their fundraising event the “Encore!”. Under this project, unusable piano parts will be recycled to transform them into beautiful pieces of art. The piano artwork created by the artist will be auctioned at the Encore! The artist will be given various parts like piano keys, foot pedals, tuning pins, key rails, benches and grand piano lids to shape them into innovative and fascinating artworks. The Encore! Committee will be judging the artwork and will decide whether the piece goes in the silent or live auction. The artist will determine the beginning sale price and in case the artwork doesn’t sell, it will be belong to the artist. Twenty percent of the sale price will go to the artist.
