Specially designed for disaster-torn areas, the disaster shelter is an egg-shaped housing concept that could expedite the relief efforts in the event of an earthquake or similar catastrophes. Designer Jonathan Ferrer has added an element of portability to a very functional tripod like structure that cuddles the victim inside it until the conditions outside become livable.
A layer of orange colored legs creates a weather resisting shield, which is absolutely water- and wind-proof. A sturdy shell made from very strong materials protects the shelter itself.
