Nimisha Singhal has created some novel footwear designs using recycled materials. This idea - apart from being very trendy and attractive in itself - is very eco-friendly and has chances of becoming a future trend in adopted ‘greener’ practices.

The designers
Nimisha Singhal is a Textile Designer who is presently studying at Srishti School of art and design in Bangalore, India.
The inspiration
She is a very innovative designer who loves to experiment and discover new ways of creating designs in the process. Nimisha gets her inspirations for designing from surface textures, print making and surface embellishments.
The green factor
These stylish shoes are crafted from material that we normally throw away - such as e-waste like tarpaulins, the keys of a keyboard, old shopping bags etc. These scrap items cannot normally be recycled, however, through these shoes one can lend them a new lease of life before finally discarding them.
The fab factor
The main idea behind designing the shoes is to re-use the unwanted materials before they are rendered completely useless. Hence, it is a way of reducing non-recyclable waste by utilizing or reusing it in a different and useful manner.
The ensemble
Nimisha Singhal has just incorporated waste that cannot be recycled into stylish and comfortable footwear that would revive the usability of the materials that it is made out of. It is a very sincere and ‘green’ effort in reducing e-waste by creating shoes that are very attractive to see and comfortable to wear.
