Chilean designer Sofia Montero transforms discarded PET bottles into a line of eco-friendly products like elegant bright lamps, table legs and flower pots. These recycled products are eco-friendly unlike the plastic bottles that are recycled with different methods (unfriendly to the environment).

The inspiration to recycle PET bottles into these products came from a workshop held at the Chilean Catholic University. What adds to the attraction of the resulting structures is that they’re weight resistant, and their shape is intact even after the use of rivets. The designer was able to make lamps of eight different colors, and the variety of PET bottles available in the market was helpful to her. The impressive products that have been recycled from simple PET bottles need less production technology and are easy to replicate.

These products were designed in 2009, and now the designer is working on a new range of products. These products are available here.
