Duron is a $130 solar home power system that stores solar energy by the day to keep rural Indian homes illuminating when they need it most. Schools, small businesses and other organizations are using this system since it promises a continuous supply of clean electricity. Presently, the company is selling just a few thousands of devices.
The solar system includes a 5 watt solar panel that has dedicated ports for a cell phone charger connection, three LED lights and an AC grid charger. The system not only powers the LED lights, but is also used for charging other gadgets as well. Once it’s fully charged, it offers three hours of bright lighting or 10 hours of dim lighting.
