Dumpster diver creates amazing bowls from discarded industrial gear

Desh Raj SharmaJul 28 2010

How callous we go (sometimes) in dumping the things that we, at some point in time, used to find almost indispensable! Until and unless someone picks them up and molds into something we could admire, we would hardly care about the stuff we discard. Tammy Roy is one such artist who recycles discarded industrial strength tools, such as, screwdrivers, hammers, wrenches and other metal cogs, into exclusive bowls.

The artist gathers the snippets from her ‘weekly dumpster diving forays down at the local steel scrap yard.’ Each 19” diameter x 3.5” high One Eighty Design Tool Bowl sells for $200 over at Organic Bug.
