As per them,

“We are not developing and producing a chair or a table just to sit on or at.”

The best part about De Vorm’s furniture is that it does its own talking. By raking in a number of young, talented designers for designing their furniture under the company’s successful banner, the company believes in giving an equal opportunity to everyone.

For the first time, albeit the risk, De Vorm was represented by its younger family members, namely the new designers at the Milan design Week 2011 where four of their upcoming designs for chairs were showcased with great gusto.

Sebastian Herkner’s ‘Clip Chair’ was one of the designer chairs presented at the Milan Design week. Environment friendly, these are just not pieces of furniture. Detail-oriented, classy and elegant, these chairs have been made from the finest quality ash. The chair comes in a multitude of colors and the cushioned version is also available for those comfort seekers. The chair has been named as ‘clip’ cos of the direct contrast between the back and the legs of the chair when compared with the wooden color of the chairs.

Benjamin Hubert’s “Pod” is the second version to be launched in the Design Week 2011. The Pod allows the sitter to have the maximum comfort while being able to disconnect from their surroundings. Being a source of ultimate comfort for the user, these chairs are best suited for the break out areas in offices and/or residential projects. The chair’s shell has been made by utilizing pressed PET technology, which awards the chair with its aesthetic look and privacy features.

Hubert’s “Pebble chairs and stools” are the third to be launched in the design week. Based on the concept of rounded stones found on beaches, these chairs and stools guarantee maximum comfort for the user, the best being that they are very much eco friendly and have been produced in Netherlands itself. The Pebble stools and chairs can be disassembled as per convenience.

Jorre Van Ast's "Clamp-a-Leg" intelligently clubs a wooden furniture leg and a simple metal clamp. This will help you to swap even a flat surface into a functional work surface. Such legs can be easily snapped apart and shipped anywhere without much difficulty. Their compact nature makes them a winner if competed with a trestle. Available in a set of four they blend beautifully with any surface.
