Toronto based photographer David Trautrimas makes something extraordinary from household objects. The Canadian artist has come up with some stunning architectural compositions made using objects like washing machines, stoves, lawnmowers and refrigerators. Merging digital technologies into the fine art world, Trautrimas produces hybrids of architecture and machinery. His photo-based architecture explores the construct of amazing machinery and structures born of everyday objects.
Trautrimas’ most recent body of work will be put on display at LE Gallery from 28 April to 30 May. The exhibition, called The Spyfrost Project will exhibit his digitally constructing of the Top Secret Military outposts out of objects such as lawnmowers, stoves and refrigerators. This series forms a nice balance between the extremes of design and technology during the Cold War era. His ingenious work will also be seen n the upcoming Museum of contemporary Canadian Art exhibition, “Empire of Dreams,Phenomenology of the built environment” and at the Eckhart Gallery in the Hague, Netherlands.
