"Sustainable fashion" made a style statement at a fashion show in Copenhagen on December 3. Organized by the Center for Responsible Design in cooperation with Copenhagen Fashion Fairs, the show held under the name ‘Innovating Sustainable fashion’ was dominated by green fashion. The aim behind this fashion show was to support sustainable fashion in the lead-up to COP15.

As many as 31 aspiring designers presented their innovative and creative designs at the Locomotive Hall on December 3. The show included biodegradable raincoats and futuristic macho streetwear incorporating eco-friendly materials in their design. A student named Karin Eggert Hansen from the Danish Design School has come up with functional yet green rainwear that is made out of the material Recycled PET, which is made from 100 pct. recycled plastic bottles.
At the Innovating Sustainable fashion show, five prizes were given for three categories, namely Design For Inclusion, Design Considering Use and Design For Environment. A sci-fi-inspired design won Tobias Noe Harboe from the Danish Design School a check of 15,000 Danish Kroner, which was to be awarded to the person bagging the first spot. If you wish to see the exquisite and inimitable sustainable creations, make sure to visit the Danish Design Center anytime from December 8 to January 31.
