Damien Grossemy develops a solar-powered flying sailboat for Renault

Doesn’t the thought of sailing through the sky leave you enthralled? Your dream might soon turn into reality. Designer Damien Grossemy has come up with a Zep’lin that is a portrayal of French innovation. The vertically built flying sailboat concept designed for Renault, includes solar panels placed above that are capable of tilting toward the sun for optimum energy generation. It also incorporates on-board lithium ion batteries to store extra energy.

Featuring a vertical architecture, the hypothetical vehicle will act as a promotional tool for Renault’s line of electric cars by wandering around the world in 2015. Quick direction changes and easy landings without the requirement of any infrastructure is what provide efficient manageability. Check out the video below to see the Zep’lin in action.
