That’s what we can label as a truly green avowal. After getting engaged back in October last year, the Spokane couple has waited so far, and will keep waiting until they’ve collected 400,000 aluminum cans. Andrea Parrish and Peter Geyer have collected 18,000 cans so far. They pick up any and every loose can they see.

To be completely honest, I got the idea at one o'clock in the morning and thought, 'Oh, that's a stupid idea, forget about it."' said Parrish. "And then I just couldn't go to sleep and kept thinking about it, and thinking about it."

Says Andrea Parrish.

They have also set up a website for those who wish to help the couple in realizing their goal. Here, detailed information is provided on how and where one can contribute to the cause.

The green initiative would fetch them about $3,800 and so, hopefully, they’ll be able to meet their goal before their wedding.
