Mervyn De Nazareth from Bangalore, India has crafted furniture out of waste and discarded materials, mostly found in junk yards. This product designer has studied form Srishti School of art, design and technology
Green treasure
The best way to shield our environment from further deterioration caused by the addition of harmful wastes is Recycling. This will not only slice disposal costs but can also fetch extra bucks by selling recyclables that have been separated. Furniture crafted out of waste, has made use of discarded materials found in scrap yards in Bangalore and Coimbatore. Such a practice not only avoids sending materials to landfills but also acts as a large reserve of useful materials.
Classic Scooter Chair
The very first archetype has been designed from the easily accessible Bajaj Scooter Chassis. It is available in abundance in scrap yards hence it was intelligently converted into a chair named, Classic Scooter Chair.
Rim Stool
Rim Stool has been designed from readily available scrap bike rims and the whole production process is low-priced. This is one shape people easily associate with and also the whole concept has a sense of simplicity attached to it.
Rim Center Table
Rim Center Table can be snapped easily into two parts and re-assembled as and when one requires. The whole dismantling solves two purposes. One, the disconnected pieces can be powder coated without much difficulty and two, it can be transferred from one place to other and also won’t consume much space.
Rim Chair
This unique concept called the Rim Chair, also has been built in a way so that the parts can be taken apart and transported easily. The legs of this chair have been built from bike rims.

The best way to keep our surroundings clean and toxin-free is the practice to recycle substances. Furniture crafted out by recycling is quite a tedious job and tests ones creative side.
