Not the real suns actually, but two solar installations named SUNLIGHT will rise every evening to enlighten the city of Denver from July 1st onwards. Brooklyn artist Adam Frank has erected these installations that utilize the 20,000 lumen, high-definition digital projectors each mounted on a balcony across the street from the projection surface. Commissioned by the Denver Office of Cultural Affairs, the projection system features a solar array presented by Boulder-based Namaste Solar. Aside from powering the installations, the surplus energy will go on to feed the local power grid.

The installation makes use of a robotic mirror that reflects the sun image up and down the side of the Minoru Yasui office building. The color-changing sun will appear red, then orange, white sometimes later, and finally yellow as it ascends the zenith. The process reverses itself during the descent and an omega and a green flash completes the process.
