College hosts Recycled Art Show to raise eco awareness

In an attempt to raise awareness regarding the importance of recycling, Ivy Tech Community College in Terre Haute, Indiana hosted an art show, where artists were invited to create something artful from trash. The fourth annual "Recycled Art Show" sponsored by the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences and the School of Fine Arts at Ivy Tech has everything from recycled paper dresses to creative art piece made out of old remote controls.

Whether a beginner, a high school student or a professional, everyone was encouraged to participate. The participants created exquisite and inspiring artwork for the three categories – amateur, high school and professional. The best entry for each category was awarded cash prize.
