With all sorts of ventures are embracing green technologies for sustainable energy generation. Cincinnati Zoo has installed a new wind spire turbine in its Go Green Garden to meet the power needs of its ticketing and membership building. The 30 feet tall and 4 feet wide propeller style turbine can generate 2000 KW hour of electricity annually in 12 mph average winds. Cheap to install the wind turbines make a useful addition to the already existing solar panels in the garden. Together they help meet nearly one third of total energy needs of the ticketing and membership building.
