Quenching this thirst is a collection of wooden clutches with eye-appealing jail work, paisleys and lotus by a graduate of the Cordwainers- London College of Fashion. Carved with utmost detailing, the collection is called “Lotus Sutra”. They have been created skillfully out of colorful and lively materials making them every inch a winner. These Eco friendly clutches are presently available in Bangalore, Chennai and Delhi.

The designer

Rachana Reddy is out to fulfill demands of modern women with her collection “Lotus Sutra”. A graduate from Cordwainers –London College of Fashion, she will present her collection in March at the Lakme fashion week spring/Resort 2011. Her designs are a comfortable mixture traditional and contemporary with stylish motifs and creative specifications with neat cuts.

The inspiration

Flipping her passion from becoming an architecture to designing is Rachana. She has always had a soft corner for art and designs; hence her inner passion bloomed into a full time profession.

The green factor

Possess a clutch crafted out of wood and help protecting the nature. This bag doesn’t leave any harmful contaminants behind, so the fears of adding negative substances to the environment take a backseat.

Winning great compliments with her debut collection “Lotus Sutra” is this designer who is out with novel, exceptional and fine-looking creation of wooden clutches. All the hand-held bags have been made to look awesome with paisleys, jail work and lotus engraved on them along with plush fabrics. These elusive clutches have a touch of both conventionality and modernity.

The collection smartly named “Lotus Sutra” made out of silk, leather and carved wood will win over your senses. The wooden clutch comes neatly wrapped in a suede box, adding to its fashionable appeal. Luxury is all they portray, with vibrantly rich fabric and fine embroidery. Traditionalism has been kept intact with its lotus/paisley designs and rich jali work.
