Bizarre solar roof orbs light up a house in central Tokyo

If you haven’t got enough dose of bizarre technologies, then do check out this one. A house in central Tokyo has a set of orbs that look like giant light bulbs installed on its roof. Giving an absolutely weird appearance though, these solar roof orbs certainly exhibit the owner’s concern for the environment.

The outlandish orbs are a cheaper alternative for those expensive solar panels and cells. Just install them on your roof and see them reflecting sunlight into your dwelling. It is not clear if the metallic hardware inside them encloses photoelectric cells that create power from sunlight, but what is certainly known is that light up your house using solar power. The orbs works only in the presence of sunlight, so if you have tall buildings around hiding the sun these odd orbs might help to light up dark rooms and save electricity costs.
