How do you feel after looking at the above picture? I am sure it feels as if a few computers have been opened in front of you. Binary Collection conceived by BRC designs all the parts have been extracted from computers and electronics that were discarded thinking they cannot serve any good now. Both the table and chair appear as if they have been dipped in technology. Though it looks a bit hideous and away from comfort but without a second thought has been crafted in a unique manner.

The table has been crafted from metal that came from computers. All the parts were fastened and then the necessary shape was given. The table top has an icing of computer chips, led screens, motherboards and hard drive disks. All these elements are kept in place with the help of screws while the glass that finds a place on the table was picked form a warehouse that had been abandoned.
The basic structure of both the chairs, namely Binary 01 and Binary 02, has been crafted from materials that were collected after disassembling industrial printers that were out of date and turned redundant. All the parts collected were molded into the shape of a chair. LCD screens, motherboards, hard drive discs and computer chips have been caked over the surface of Binary Chairs.
The outside of the Binary Chair 01 has been coated with a glass panel because of which one can easily see what lies inside the chair. To catch this glimpse simply push away the cushions and see the wire structure underneath. Ethernet cables have been beautifully wedged on the seating surface of Binary Chair 02. Wire clamps have been grounded just to make sure the wires remain in place and have been weaved in a haphazard manner.
The chair is not boring at all. While seated spin the hard drive disks and push the telephone keys. It also comes with an antenna that can be adjusted.
The designer:
The amazing set of furniture, a table and two chairs, has been designed by Benjamin Rollins Caldwell of BRC Design Network. The furniture is exclusively crafted by hand by skilled craftsmen under the supervision of Benjamin at the Spartanburg, SC, USA based BRC studio. BRC crafts exceptional and plain furniture in terms of design by exploiting eccentric materials. The company also makes customized furniture on special order.
Green treasure:
Binary Chair 02 has been crafted from Ethernet cables that had been discarded. The seat was made after weaving all the thrown away items. Both the chairs have been given shape by intelligently exploiting motherboards, computer chips, LCD screens and hard drive disks that otherwise would have piled up at the junkyard adding on to the waste levels. The usage of discarded materials that too in the form of beautifully carved furniture makes it rank high on the green factor. The Binary Furniture is environment friendly as it has utilized stuff that was tagged as electronic waste.
The fab factor:
BRC Furniture is doing a novel deed by recycling e-waste that poses a serious threat in the surroundings now-a-days. With shooting concerns to protect the environment comes a moral responsibility to bring down the electronic waste levels. The best way to do it is recycling all we can. Reusing and restoring things that usually are shown the junkyard is an apt solution. The Binary Collection has made good use of waste and refurbished it in a unique and aesthetic manner. All the three furniture pieces have been crafted out from obsolete computer and electronic items. The whole idea is worth applauding and if your a tech geek then the Binary Collection will glide into your heart in no time.
