Former East Darling Harbor of Sydney will soon be accommodating a 430,000 sq m commercial and business precinct. Just recently, Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners and Lend Lease proposed the award-winning design for the new development. Dubbed as Barangaroo, the site will feature open spaces and a new Headland Park at the Northern end of the site when it opens in the late 2014. However, the construction will begin next year.

The inhabitants will find this place and the site itself to be a conglomeration of residential, educational, business and tourist spots. You would see waterfront public spaces, a large southern cove. The Climate Positive precinct will employ green construction practices and will recycle and reuse water. The zone will follow the three R’s of sustainability: reuse, reduce and recycle before disposing off whatever waste it generates.
