Franziska "Frenchy" Krauss is almost there to announce the arrival of a versatile, portable wind-powered electricity generating system for emergencies. The Air Power Systems wind power unit is a wind-powered turbine that features a triangular, one-piece design. It resembles a "giant airplane propeller-looking blades on a horizontal axis atop tall towers." The vertical axis device operates at any height and can be mounted on a rooftop or onto mobile units.

The APS system produces electricity in winds as low as 2.7 mph. No breaking system is required since the air, which air enters one side, passes through the second and the third side. Therefore, in even the highest winds, there is no out-of-control spinning. The solid-body construction made of lightweight material is extremely easy to ship or transport. The device can power a 2,500-square-foot home.

Krauss seeks to buy property in Pasco County to test and demonstrate the APS system. Besides, she wishes to create several prototypes here itself.
