Graffiti is a beautiful medium of expression and recently we have seen artist using it to promote eco-friendliness. One such creative mind is Anna Garforth, who brings urban ecology, sustainability and creativity under one roof. This UK-based artist has many exquisite eco-graffiti projects to woo the eco-conscious. “Rethink” is a thought provoking installation that can be seen right in front of Regent’s Canal in London, England.

Located outside an electrical power site with two main resources - gas and water, the creation is made by stapling leaves together. The main aim behind this beautiful set up is to encourage people to rethink what our society consumes and how we collectively use our resources. Imagine an interesting face with green hair. Well, this is exactly what the “Head Gardener” is all about. This guerilla gardening project converts milk bottles into unimaginable plant containers.

Each container has interesting face painted on it, while beautiful green plants overflow as hair on the head. Last but certainly not the least is “Nourish”, a self-initiated and collaborative ecological graffiti piece between Anna Garforth and poet Eleanor Stevens.

Anna, who is currently featured in the international bi-monthly graphic design publication IdN as part of the 'eco graphics' issue covered the typeface handwritten by Stevens with green moss. It makes an exceptional piece of art.
