Andrea Bonelli’s jewelry made from recycled metals for the eco conscious

recycled metal jewelry

One man’s trash is another women’s treasure. Wondering how? Well, this stunning jewelry line is the answer. Designed by San Francisco-based jewelry designer Andrea Bonelli, these pieces of jewelry are fashioned from reclaimed and recycled metals. She is a self-taught metalsmith who adds her own special touch and creativity to old metal to come up with something exceptionally beautiful. She loves dazzling gems, but before adding them to her design she make sure they are ethical. Her creation includes earrings, bracltes, necklaces, rings, stacking rings and diamond and moissanite rings.

To breathe new life into old metals, she works in her home studio in the San Francisco Bay Area. Bonelli uses only certified-recycled and -reclaimed metals from Hoover & Strong, a leader in ethical mining and metal processing. Inspired by ethical fashion, this ingenious designer give “Mother Nature” a beautiful reason to smile. Since these stunning pieces of jewelry are made from reclaimed and recycled metals, so they save on the resources, money, labor and of course our precious environment.

Bonelli says:

My jewelry is always in a constant state of evolution as I hone my skills and find new and exciting textures and techniques to work with. To me, I think it makes everything a bit more interesting. All of my jewelry is hand made by me using recycled and ethically mined Diamonds and Gems. I believe in recycling and reusing instead of doing more damage to our already fragile planet.

He earrings include cute, petite pebble studs made from recycled 14kt Gold with near colorless white diamonds or moissanite. Beautifully textured hoops also grace this collection. They are made from recycled argentium silver. The droplet bracelets are shaped from either recycled 14kt gold or recycled argentium silver or oxidized silver. They have a hammered finish with rounded ends. The necklaces go by names “argentium circles necklace-due cerchi”, “droplet-recycled argentium silver” and “black oxidized roundabout necklace”. The black oxidized roundabout necklace has a recycled hand fabricated argentium silver circle that sits sits on a 14kt gold filled chain, while the argentium circles necklace-due cerchi is made with recycled argentium silver and given one a bright polish and the other a nice oxidized aged finish.

A stylish ring fashioned from organic molten argentium silver that has been shaped into a soft pebble shape and fits in moissanite and citrine is one of my favorite. The rutilated quartz checkerboard oval ring is made from recycled argentium and fine silver with rutilated quartz in the center. The delecate sapphire 14kt gold ring is something to look out for. It is made from recycled 14kt white gold with a gorgeous white sapphire. The silver and sapphire bezel ring-3 stones is carved out of recycled deox sterling silver with 3 white sapphires. The stacking rings are fashioned from either recycled gold or silver. The 14kt gold diamond stacking rings is one piece that I personally would want to wear.

This amazing collection not only saves the environment while beautifying you, but it also helps ethical mining in communities. A portion of monthly sales supports ethical mining in communities, contributing towards saving the planet.
