Conceived by industrial designer Arttu-Matti Immonen, the spherical renewable energy generator gets the most out of solar and wind energy. The wind and solar power accumulating system, dubbed as the Aard Concept, features several flexible photovoltaic modules that harvest solar energy, which is stored in onboard batteries. The spherical shape of the generator allows it to revolve around its axis – without any need of turning it manually – and produce electricity through dynamos, when wind gets strong.
The lightweight aluminum construction of the concept renewable energy generator enables it to harness usable energy at low wind speeds.
