60 French towns switch to cheaper and greener way to collect household waste

The idea of vehicles collecting waste for recycling is undoubtedly worth appreciating, but sidelining harmful fuel and allowing a horse to pull it instead, is truly exceptional. This is exactly what 60 towns all across France are practicing. These horse-driven recycling carrying carriages can easily move through small, hard to navigate streets, where huge waste collecting trucks cannot move.

Using horse-driven carriages is certainly better for the environment than the massive carbon guzzlers doing the task. The horse-driven recycling carrying carriages not only offer an emission-free ride, but also save money and helps in raising awareness for recycling programs.
