Beating the record-breaking recycled project from north Spain, the humongous milk carton castle in Granada, Southern Spain has succeeded in making it into the Guinness Book of Records as the biggest sculpture made using recycled materials. This impressive creation is a result of an event sponsored by the local council and a waste treatment company RESUR GRANADA, which encouraged school children to collect milk cartons for the sculpture.

Designed by Granada’s Architectural College, the stunning sculpture is made from as many as recycled 50,000 milk cartons. Standing proudly at the Sciences Park of Granada, the huge tower measures 29 meters in length, 14.07 meters in width and 7 meters in height. The cardboard milk containers are stacked onto each other using glue to firmly hold the given shape. It looks to me like a larger than life reinterpretation of our childhood creation made from colorful building blocks.
