Loaded with several features to obtain an estimated 40 MPG on the highway, this green car will be give a tough competition to the most fuel-efficient small cars on the market today. What really makes the Cruze Eco stand out is an automatic air shutter system that allows the car to change shape and cut through the air more smoothly.
Located just behind the front grill, the air shutter system comes equipped with sensors that are capable of feeling and sensing wind and temperature conditions. The sensors work in coordination with electric motors that open and close the shutters automatically. The air shutter system helps in moving nearly half a mile per gallon by closing shutters at high speeds to reduce wind drag and opening them at lower speeds to maximize engine-cooling airflow.
