The 2010 Shanghai World Expo has finally begun. While the expo allows visitors to see how countries worldwide are utilizing their renewable energy sources, it also highlights some green technologies and recycling efforts of the respective countries. Ranging from rainwater harvesting, recycled materials, green roofs, renewable energy and energy efficiency, these common elements unite to uphold the theme of “Better City, Better Life”, and seek to make the world a better place to live in.
More than 190 countries and more than 50 international organizations have marshaled their green resources to attract around 100 million visitors to their pavilions. Here is a list of 12 pavilions that are supposed to receive highest number of guests:
