In addition to this public event, the DesignPack Gallery also sells a cardboard structure to make one at home, collecting your own bottles.
2. Recycled water bottle Christmas tree:
After the terrifying forest fire that recently broke out in Israel claiming nearly 43 lives and numerous trees, its better not to axe down those already devastated trees for Christmas and look for other eco-friendly alternatives. Israeli designer Hadas Itzcovitch has done just that. She has created 38 feet high Christmas tree using as many as 5,480 recycled bottles. Adding to its green credentials are the LED-certified lights that illuminate it with green glow.
3. Recycled bike Christmas tree:

Last Christmas Bermondsey Square in London saw a unique Christmas tree made from 35 recycled bicycles, and this year Sydney takes the concept to a new level by creating it using 100 recycled bicycles. Christened the “Tree-Cycle,” this Christmas tree is made from old bikes donated by a local recycling company. The bikes spray-painted in tree green color give the original tree-like feel, while the multi-colored tires appear like holiday lights.

Created by American artist and architect Kyle Martin, this Xmas tree is made entirely from recycled materials worth only $50. This amazing Christmas tree has given new life to waste materials like recycled polyester strapping (PET), glue and plywood.

A team of students from Transworld University have breathed new life into plastic spoons by converting them into a beautiful Christmas tree. The six Taiwanese students used as many as 80,000 spoons to create their 12-meter high tree.
